Thoughts on the Ride this Morning

Since when does the warm-up split into an A, B and C ride?

I guess I warm up faster at 25 MPH. Like a candle being lit by a flame-thrower.

Thanks to my coach for yelling at me to keep going long after my tank had emptied. I was gassed, passed and trashed. Let's do that again tomorrow!

Nice to have a big turn out this morning. Thanks for buying coffee, Eric (Erick? Erich?)

GGP Craig in the Sprint

I just liked the expression on their faces so I cropped the shot tighter. Best in the larger sizes.

Saturday Ride Options

Jazz and AC discuss weekend plans...

Post Ride Discussion

Post your Saturday suggestions in the comments section.

Thursday AM Ride Report

For those of you slugs that slept in this am you missed a beautiful morning. It was only Adam and me heading south - just as I said "let's take it easy this am" Craig Scott passes by ... oh well.
He flipped to do some intervals when the Ken L went screaming by on his TT bike practicing for this weekend 2 man race. We were then joined by newbies - Rob (ridley) and Erick {sp?}(Cervelo) and had a nice pace back up to HP ...

Had coffee with AC, Ken, and Big John who joined AC some time during their intervals.

Come out tonight to the Northbrook Velodrome and watch BT kick some butt.

If possible post the Sat/Sun ride options so others can view.

Monday AM Spin - Regular Time

Anyone who is interested in a Monday AM spin? Same time, same place just at a bit slower pace. Let me know who I should look for from the North or South.

Hope everyone had a good ride/race on Sunday.

Sunday Rides - Aug 3

Good luck to everyone racing this weekend. Some options for the rest of us include:

Alberto's - Double Miller Route (Bull Valley) & a short option too. Ride leaves from the shop promptly @ 8.

Colavita - West Loop - Leaves from the Deerfield Trains Station (Deerfield w. of Waukeegan) @ 7:30. I think a few WGAS riders may be on board.

With any luck you might find the routes in the Route Section on the lower left.

A Weekend Option Out West

For those of you who are looking for something different, you are all invited to join me, AB, and Frank for a 70 Mile Route from my house in BG out to Bull Valley and back on Saturday morning. This is a good ride on good roads with some nice hills. It is adapted from VCR's Bull Valley ride. We will be rolling from my house at 6:30 am. Details of the route are here:

http://www.mapmyride.com/route/us/il/buffalo%20grove/456149336

No rider will be left behind. Text me at 8474779616 if you are interested and need directions to my house.

Weekend Options

It is almost upon us. Rides ----------Saturday, Sunday----who's in??

The Wobbly Wocket rides again
He pedals his bike with a smooth spin

As the 'ton rolls on mightily North
He calls out a hole and rocks back and forth

The rider behind him yells for calm to all
'Cause the Wobbly Wocket does not fall

Ride on ride on Wobbly Wocket man
We'll ride with you as long as we can

Thanks for Waiting

New Rule: If the group slows for you once for a mechanical (say a dropped light, for example), don't expect us to wait for you to catch up if you later, say, go fully anaerobic in sprint to the top of the Russian hill (missed it by that much). Not that this actually happened to me this morning. This is purely a hypothetical to illustrate a larger point.

Right.
